products. To best ensure that these age-restricted
products are not sold to minors, our cashiers
are trained to request identification
as follows: For Alcohol purchases, ALL
customers must show identification regardless
of appearance of age; for Tobacco purchases,
customers that appear to be under 40 years
of age must show identification. Thank

Customer Check Acceptance
Policy
Customer Check Acceptance privileges
require an established checking account,
driver’s license or government-issued
ID.
Personal checks must be made payable
to the Store, along with a current government-issued
ID number, current physical address and
telephone number.
The name on the check must be the same
name as on the government-issued ID.
Checks for an additional $25.00 over the
purchase amount can be accepted.
A limit of five (4) personal checks may
be written in a seven day period.
The following checks will not be accepted:
starter checks, second party checks, out-of-state
checks, money orders, insurance checks,
government refund checks, pre-printed
payroll checks, or social security checks.
A service charge will be added to
all returned checks.
Final approval on all check acceptances
is subject to management’s discretion.
Hands-Off Policy
Employees in service departments
must wear disposable plastic gloves
on both hands when handling foods that
are not prepackaged.
Meat Policy
Our Pledge to You
Our Policy requires that every meat package
is code dated at the time it is wrapped
and that date never changes. Code dates
are checked by the Department Manager
daily and out-of-date packages are removed
and discarded. Our certified fresh ground
beef is "ground today, sold today".
No ground beef remains in our case more
than 24 hours.
Rain Check Policy
If an advertised item is not in stock,
we will offer a rain check or equal savings
on a comparable item. A rain check can
be redeemed at any of The Food Emporium
locations.
Scanner Guarantee
Policy
We guarantee the 100% accuracy of our
computer scanner registers. If the item
scans higher than the marked price, you
receive that item free up to a $10.00
value. This guarantee does not include
alcohol, tobacco products or cashier key
entry errors.

We respect our customers' privacy. Accordingly,
any personal information you provide to
us whether through our website or otherwise,
will never be sold to another company.
However, we may use your information in
order to make it possible for other companies
to extend offers which may include coupons,
